Our Toddler Program encourages independence
For children twenty-two to thirty-six months
Blocks, trucks, easels, dolls, dress-up clothes and puzzles are some of the toys that delight our toddlers. These children are striving to become independent through their newly acquired skills of walking and talking and we encourage them with plenty of hugs, praise and positive reinforcement. Music, arts and crafts, storytelling, circle time, physical education and fantasy play are important to our toddler program. Activities are broken into 15 or 20 minute segments to hold the children’s attention.
Only 10 children are accepted in our toddler program. With one teacher and one assistant that’s a staff to child ratio of 1:5, better than what the State guidelines require.
Motor skills are developed in our specially designed toddlers’ play area where age-appropriate toys and equipment lead youngsters forward while having fun.
